Curriculum Vitae
Rena M. Klein FAIA is principal of RM Klein Consulting, a Seattle firm offering meeting facilitation, business planning services, and management education to architects in firms nationwide. She is a lecturer at the University of Washington College of Architecture and Urban Planning and Washington State University Interdisciplinary Design Institute. There she teaches design studio, as well as leadership, ethics, and professional practice. Rena regularly presents seminars and workshops on small firm practice at AIA Conventions and to various AIA Knowledge Communities. Responding to the need for management education among small firm practitioners, she has developed numerous original programs including courses on financial management, business planning and firm development. Her participatory and engaging approach to professional education has drawn highly favorable responses and helps architects in the Northwest and nationwide achieve success in their practices. Rena is Past President of AIA Seattle and served as Chair of the 2005 AIA NW + Pacific Region Conference, Knowledge by Design. Rena is currently a member of AIA Soloso Editorial Content Review Board, serving as the Subject Matter Expert for Practice. Education:
